ALUMIUM is the word from which “aluminum” is derived.
This is a brand of premium aluminum frames launched by Aluna — a company that has been making aluminum picture frames for 55 years.

This project was born out of a desire to help people discover the joy of beautifully decorating the world around them.
Frames bring artwork to life.
They can be displayed on a wall or propped up on a shelf to add color to a space.
It is our hope that frames will become a cherished part of your life.
ALUMIUM frames were created by Aluna, an aluminum frame manufacturer that has been in business for over 55 years.
Although a picture frame may appear to be a simple product, its completion requires the work of various artisans, with processes that include casting from raw materials, surface treatment, cutting, and assembly.
The ALUMIUM series was created by combining expertise in each process.
ALUMIUM frames have very simple shapes.
However, each simple shape has its own reason, function, and meaning.
The thing to remember is that the frame is not the star of the show — it only plays a supporting role.
The ALUMIUM series has a sleek design, to complement your artwork and to be a part of your life.
We use aluminum made in Japan as a material.
A surface finish is applied to preserve the texture of the aluminum.
UV acrylic is also used for acrylic components.
We strive to protect the works from light and other elements as much as possible.
We have also reworked small components such as screws and metal fittings to hang strings.
These incremental efforts have supported the ALUMIUM series.
The edges are trimmed off to create an impression of sharpness. When viewed from the front, the frame is not very noticeable, and when viewed from an angle, it gives an impression of lightness, as if it were floating on the wall surface. Winner of the FY 2019 Good Design Award.
This is a frame with sides slanted at a 10-degree angle. This tilt allows the sides to touch the floor and stand stable against the wall. Winner of the FY 2019 Good Design Award.
This is a simple frame with a rim around the edge. A 1mm thick, 5mm high rim surrounds the perimeter, giving a subtle depth to the frame. It can also be laid flat and displayed using an acrylic box. Winner of the FY 2021 Good Design Award.
FLAP is a frame that slopes gently from the center outward. With a triangular cross-section, this frame is wide and elegant when viewed from the front, but thin and light from other angles. The shine of the aluminum, which switches at the corners, is also very sharp.
DUO is a frame that can be used on both sides. Thanks to the position of the clasp, different from that of conventional products, the frames can be viewed in their ideal form, without tilting. Perfect for hanging from picture rails, etc. Winner of the FY 2022 Good Design Award.
SLICE is a frame composed with a slight inward slope. The space between the frame and the work is made as thin as possible, creating a sense of unity between the two. Winner of the FY 2022 Good Design Award.
This picture frame is cut off at an angle from the front to the sides and has a wider fillet (corner radius). This frame creates a sense of luxury, but is also suitable for works with a softer atmosphere, such as family portraits.
This mirror is made using LEAN from the ALUMIUM series.The frame contains a perforated acrylic sheet called a “mat,” which gives the design an impression of softness.
FOOT is an aluminum frame stand used under the frames. By slightly raising the frames, it is possible to avoid any damage and to give the work a dignified atmosphere.
